Rapp's Barren Pioneer Settlement...

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Mountain Home’s Cooper Park, the Society has provided the opportunity to experience a sense of early Baxter County History in the Rapp’s Barren Pioneer Settlement.
From 1991-2000, the Society completed a significant project of moving four authentic buildings from original locations around the county to be reconstructed in the park for the enjoyment and education of the public. The site property was provided by agreement with the city.
The four galleries below tell the story.
The Casey House — Original 1858 house, oldest in Mountain Home
Rollins Hospital — Where Baxter County’s Medicine Became Modern
